Eric is a partner at Arel Capital. He serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and leads acquisitions and secondary debt positions for the firm across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Sunbelt markets. His real estate career spans 40 years, during which he has acquired, financed, and developed more than $1 billion in real assets across multifamily, office, industrial, retail, and land development.

Prior to joining Arel in 2013, Eric ran the market-rate multifamily housing platform at Castle Lanterra Equity, primarily focused on the Washington, D.C. market.

Previously, Eric served as a director at MetRock Capital Group, an opportunistic real estate investment fund. Earlier in his career, he was a principal at JM Zell Partners Ltd., a boutique real estate investment and advisory firm in Washington, D.C., where he led acquisitions and financing transactions.

Eric holds a master’s degree in real estate from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgetown University. He is a trustee at Mary McDowell Friends School and remains active with Georgetown University’s Steers Center for Global Real Assets and Columbia University’s mentorship program.
